+ Why is it called Adopt-a-Barrel?

When we started making wine in 1994 – and we can hardly believe it has been so many years - we found ourselves in need of cash to buy our French oak barrels, a year before we had wine to sell. We looked for people to “Adopt” barrels for us and when the wine was ready, we had a big dinner party to celebrate. This small and intimate program has been such a great success, and for us, transformed customers into friends.

+ Highlights of the program

• Two cases of 2022 Stephen Ross wines, available in Spring 2024, with three selections to choose from.

• 2022 was a continuation of focus on what we do best, estate and single-vineyard Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays from the Edna Valley, and a small amount of hard to resist Grenache and Petite Sirah. This is reflected in the wine selections.

• Special pricing, reflecting a discount of 33% on all wines you purchase from Stephen Ross. If you choose to also be in our Wine Club, your 33% discount applies to those shipments as well.

• An invitation for two to the Adopters’ Dinner in spring of 2024 at the winery – a wonderful evening of fantastic food and spectacular wines. Price to be announced at a later time.

• Complimentary tastings for your party of up to four people in our tasting room.

• We offer the program to all others after current members and the waiting list have had the opportunity to enroll.
